Remembering the Frontier Little League and the teams from Limestone -- the Braves and the White Sox

When I visited Bob and Marilyn King at the Limestone Historical Society, I read an article from a 1955 issue of the Limestone Leader. The article notified Limestone families as to the time and date for Little League signup. Two men from Loring were to be the coaches for the Limestone Braves. Little League is Limestone has existed for more than fifty years. As I moved from position to position I remember the boys now retired or moving towards retirement who played the various positions. As you watch this slideshow. Remember your friends -- both team mates and opponents. I remember pitching to the White Sox and they delivered a mighty blow to the Braves -- the Braves' first lost to the White Sox -- perhaps my greatest and kindest moment --- hmmm. As I reflect on this slideshow the idea of a Limestone Little League Reunion might just be a good idea! Who's on first?
